Job summary

The Blackstone Group L.P. in Miami seeks an Assistant Vice President to support compliance related to private investing, open market trading, and information flow management. You will work with BXMA teams, external partners, and legal/compliance to implement policies and ensure smooth diligence.

Qualifications include 4+ years in financial services with strong communication, detail, and project management skills. JD is a plus; AI familiarity is valued.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience at an asset manager, hedge fund, investment adviser or other financial services organization that engages in private and open market trading.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills across a range of audiences.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Work independently while collaborating with teams.
• Familiarity with AI tools and using them to improve compliance workflows.

Responsibilities

• Assist with intake of new direct and indirect investing opportunities for BXMA private commingled funds.
• Serve as contact for potential investment targets to facilitate diligence.
• Draft and maintain policies and procedures for new product needs.
• Perform trade compliance functions and maintain BXMA’s restricted list.
• Coordinate with legal and compliance teams on firm-wide conflicts.
• Manage flow of confidential investment information per information wall policies.
• Exposure to AI-enabled productivity tools and workflow automation.
• Assist in testing and improving operational processes through AI solutions.
