Job summary

Axos is seeking an AVP, Commercial Strategic Consulting to drive strategic initiatives within the Commercial Bank. You will partner with leaders across banking, operations, technology, risk, compliance, and finance to analyze challenges, develop recommendations, and support execution of enterprise priorities.

You will identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and elevate client experiences while maintaining risk governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in management consulting, commercial banking, financial services, strategy, or transformation.
• Lean or Six Sigma experience; certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Commercial Banking leadership to identify, prioritize, and execute strategic initiatives.
• Analyze processes and design scalable solutions to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
• Lead process mapping, workflow redesign, and transformation programs across functions.
• Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and executive presentations for decisions.
• Support cross-functional projects from requirements gathering to post-launch evaluation.
• Assess risks and controls, recommending improvements while maintaining compliance.
• Collaborate with Technology to identify automation opportunities and support digital transformation.
• Evaluate customer and employee experiences to drive adoption and satisfaction.
• Establish metrics and report outcomes to leadership.
• Assist with change management, stakeholder engagement, and communication planning.
• Research industry trends and best practices to identify innovations.
• Prepare executive reporting for senior leaders and stakeholders.
