iCapital is seeking a Backend Engineer to design and implement high-performance APIs and applications powering the platform. You will collaborate with Product Management to capture requirements and deliver end products for clients within a micro-services architecture built with Scala, Ruby, Node.js and Python.

The role emphasizes technical depth, learning new tools on the job, and contributing to a collaborative development culture.

Qualifications

• Degree in Software Engineering is required.
• 6+ years of web-based application development experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala or Node.js.

Responsibilities

• Build cloud-native services using Python and Scala with open-source frameworks.
• Develop unit and integration tests with PyTest, Scala Test, and ZIO Test.
• Participate in stand-up meetings and peer code reviews as part of SDLC.
