Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking talented engineering interns for a 12-week program in Playa Vista, CA. You will work closely with the engineering team on satellite avionics projects, gaining hands-on experience and guidance from a dedicated mentor.

This internship emphasizes ownership over a real project and participation in aerospace learning sessions. Eligible graduates-to-be Spring 2027–Spring 2028, with a BS/MS in electrical, aerospace, or computer engineering, plus familiarity with Altium

Qualifications

• Graduating between Spring 2027 and Spring 2028.
• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• Experience in Altium and programming languages such as Python for scripting.
• Proficiency in PCB development, buildup and testing.
• Familiarity with avionics hardware and embedded communication protocols: UART, SPI, CAN, I2C.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of Avionics Test and new ATE Rack systems.
• Improve hardware test stands and tooling for manufacturing at scale.
• Collaborate with the engineering team and mentors to gain hands-on experience.

About the Role

We are seeking talented engineers to work closely with the broader engineering team for an exciting internship opportunity. This person is passionate about engineering, ready to take ownership over complex challenges, and a strong desire to learn about all things satellites.

During the 12-week internship program at Apex, you'll gain hands‑on experience and professional growth opportunities. You’ll be assigned a project to give you the opportunity to have real impact. Throughout the project you'll have a dedicated mentor to guide you, while participating in learning sessions to elevate your knowledge of aerospace. Plus, you'll connect with peers and industry professionals during our community events, making this a well‑rounded experience to launch your career!

Avionics Test: Interns will assist in the development of new ATE Rack systems, improving our hardware test stands and the development of processes and tooling that allow for manufacturing spacecraft at scale.

Requirements:

• Graduating between Spring 2027 and Spring 2028
