Job summary

Protingent is seeking an Avionics Technician II for a contract role in Kent, WA. You will build components and wire harnesses, collaborate with engineering to implement best practices, and focus on safety and quality throughout manufacturing and testing.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in aerospace avionics, experience with ESD/EPA, soldering, test gear, torqueing fasteners, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Onsite work with overtime to support launch schedules is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in Aerospace Avionics or related fields.
• Familiarity with ESD EPA and tool control processes.
• Experience using electronics assembly tools, hand soldering, and basic test equipment (multimeters, power supplies).
• Experience applying torque to fasteners/components.
• Fabricating, terminating, and testing wire harnesses.
• Experience inspecting and certifying work to relevant standards and specifications.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Able to work a 40-hour week (4x10’s) with occasional overtime.
• Ability to earn trust and maintain professional relationships.
• Experience with polymerics (staking, potting, encapsulation and conformal coating).

Responsibilities

• Build components and assemblies for development, test, and flight.
• Assist with assembly by collaborating with engineering on best practices.
• Provide input for manufacturing improvements and build changes.
• Support internal and external customers across systems and platforms; contribute to safe human spaceflight.
• Balance speed and safety to produce high-quality components for future missions.
