Position Title
Avionics Technician III Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract opportunity located in Broomfield, CO.
Job Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, test, adjust, and repair avionics equipment and systems while performing equipment setup and maintenance activities
- Use precision measurement tools to fabricate fixtures for use, including non-flight parts with standard alloys and simple geometry, and perform precision cleaning and chemistry processes
- Adhere to general best shop practices, including PPE and shop safety requirements, demonstrate correct packaging and handling requirements for all hardware
- Apply 5S, FOD, and ESD awareness in your daily tasks, collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines, and document and report any issues or discrepancies found during inspections and tests
Job Qualifications
- Typically 5+ years of related experience
- Familiarity with general best shop practices including PPE and shop safety requirements
- Ability to perform basic equipment setup and maintenance activities and display general mechanical aptitude and hand tool competency
- Able to use precision measurement tools and fabricate fixtures for use, including non-flight parts with standard alloys and simple geometry
- Ability to learn and perform precision cleaning and chemistry processes
- Ability to learn 5S, FOD, and ESD awareness
- Ability to demonstrate correct packaging and handling requirements for all hardware
Preferred Job Qualifications
- Formal training, degree, or certification in avionics, electronics, or a related technical field
- Certification: Airman's certificate, FCC license, or IPC level certification
- Experience with avionics systems and equipment, including but not limited to navigation, communication, and flight control systems
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Familiarity with avionics testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators
- Knowledge of software tools for diagnostics and troubleshooting of avionics systems
- Understanding of RF (Radio Frequency) principles and their application in avionics systems
- Experience with soldering and crimping techniques for avionics wiring and connectors
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Job Details
Job Type: Contract
Location: Broomfield, CO.
Pay Rate Range: $25-32/hr.
Due to government contract requirements, this position is restricted to U.S. Citizens or GC Holder.
