Job summary

Rocket Lab USA is seeking an Avionics Technician to join the Vehicle Integration team on Neutron launches. You will install avionics, fluids, and other components, perform functional tests, and support production from integration to day-of-launch activities.

The role requires experience across avionics/electrical systems, precision assembly, and familiarity with test equipment. It offers a hands-on environment with opportunities to contribute to a high-performing team and complex spaceflight

Qualifications

  • Experience across avionics or electrical systems on multiple platforms.
  • Precision electrical and/or mechanical assembly experience.
  • Operation of electrical, mechanical and automated test equipment.
  • Harness installation and fabrication – crimping, soldering and harness tie in.
  • Use specialist tools and equipment like wire strippers, torque drivers, milliohmeter, multimeter, DC power supply.

Responsibilities

  • Install fluids, avionics, and other components onto the launch vehicle and perform functional tests.
  • Engage with tools, equipment, and facilities to build, launch, or test Rocket Lab vehicles or components.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to meet production and launch schedules.
  • Maintain high precision in assembly tasks including crimping and harnessing.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure workmanship standards are met.
