Looking for the next step in your Aircraft Maintenance career? As a SkyWest A&P Mechanic, you will be part of a fast-paced environment full of variety, working on our growing fleet of aircraft. Military A&P experience holders are eligible for a $7,500 bonus with a commitment to work at SkyWest for at least three years. This role offers opportunities to gain new skills, work nose-to-tail on aircraft, join a world-class team of mechanics, and have a significant impact on SkyWest operations.

Primary Job Duties

  • Hold an A&P Certificate
  • Effectively troubleshoot all aircraft systems
  • Make critical safety decisions promptly
  • Maintain proficiency in documentation and paperwork, including parts paperwork
  • Perform avionics inspections, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting in a hangar environment
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair components in a shop environment, including aircraft systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Interested A&P Mechanics in this Avionics Tech position, aiming to acquire time for FCC Radio License testing, are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Requirements

  • A&P Certificate preferred
  • Ability to read and understand company, manufacturer, and wire diagram manuals, including schematics
  • Basic avionics skills
  • Self-starter with teamwork skills; able to troubleshoot and repair avionics and electrical systems using manuals
  • Valid, insurable, unrestricted driver’s license
  • Minimum toolbox
  • Problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Willing to work nights and holidays
  • Good judgment in team and safety operations

Physical and Other Requirements

  • Ability to lift 60 lbs routinely, with or without accommodations

Experience/Training must meet one of the following:

  • Graduation from an accredited avionics school
  • Military training in avionics/electronics
  • Associate degree or higher in electronics
  • At least 18 months of avionics industry experience
  • A&P certification with avionics experience
  • This is a DOT safety-sensitive position

Must hold an FCC GROL license, or obtain within six months of hire.
