Job summary

West Star Aviation, LLC in Los Angeles is seeking an Avionics Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair avionics units and aircraft systems to the component level.

The role includes scheduled shift Thursday - Saturday, every other Wednesday, 1800 to 0600; work with customers on project management and pricing; communicate in English; use basic computer systems to access manuals and maintenance data.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting avionics units (Nav/Coms/Radar/Autopilot) on aircraft.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance data and diagrams.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform general avionics support on aircraft, including removal and installation of panels.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate systems on the aircraft.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components.
• Verify aircraft performance and systems.
• Maintain shop facilities and tooling.
• Collaborate with customers on project management and pricing.
• Work independently on projects.
• Communicate effectively in English.
• Use basic computer systems to access electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.

What you can expect as an Avionics Maintenance Technician at West Star:

Our Avionics Maintenance Technicians are responsible for troubleshooting and repairing problems to the component level on avionics units (i.e. Navs, Coms, Pulse, Radar, Audio and Autopilot Systems), as well as the aircraft systems.

Scheduled Shift: Thursday - Saturday, every other Wednesday; 1800 to 0600

You Will Be ESSENTIAL To Many FUNCTIONS Including

• Perform general avionics support items on aircraft. This shall include, but not be limited to items such as removal and installation of panels and components and repair work.
• Troubleshooting and evaluation of systems on the aircraft when designated.
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated.
• Aircraft movement and performance verification of systems.
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling to support operations.
• Work with customer in project management, pricing and customer support roles.
• Work independently on projects.
• Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
• Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English
• Basic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases
