Job summary

D.O.M. magazine is seeking a skilled avionics specialist to assemble, install, repair or replace electrical/electronic components and systems on aircraft. This role involves working within manufacturing, maintenance, or refurbishing contexts and performing function checks to ensure proper operation.

Candidate should have strong blueprint interpretation skills and experience with FAA-related standards, with English fluency required for communication and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Experience working on avionics in aircraft, preferably rotorcraft.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and diagrams.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly, installation, repair or replacement of aircraft electrical/electronic components and systems.
  • Use blueprints, sketches, vendor and service manuals to meet specification requirements.
  • Utilize a variety of hand tools, power equipment, and test equipment to complete work.

Job description

You will be part of the team to perform assembly, installation, repair or replacement of aircraft electrical/electronic components and systems in the manufacture, maintenance or refurbishing of aircraft and function check of components.

  • Maintain close working relationship with assigned lead person with regard to schedules, priorities, availability of parts, supplies and tools, and special instructions as required.
  • Perform work from blueprints, sketches, vendor and service manuals, and other source data to obtain dimensions, locations, alignment, tolerances and other specification requirements.
  • Use a variety of standard and specialized hand tools, power equipment, measuring devices and test equipment in completing work assignments.
  • Assure that completed work complies with FAA regulations, customer requirements, and company specifications.
Requirements
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience working on avionics in aircraft, preferably rotorcraft.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and diagrams, and apply standard shop practices in the fabrication and repair modifications of aircraft structures and repairs.
  • Current A&P license is a plus
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English?

This position is an open-ended contract that may be shortened or extended based on business needs
