Qualifications

Role Description

The Avionics Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Broussard, LA. This role is responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, and maintaining aircraft avionics systems, including navigation, communication, and flight control equipment. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting wiring diagrams and technical manuals, performing system diagnostics, troubleshooting and resolving electrical and electronic issues, and completing maintenance and repair work in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. The Avionics Technician documents all work performed, collaborates closely with maintenance and flight operations teams, and helps ensure aircraft are safe, compliant, and ready for service. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hangar environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Candidates should possess solid knowledge of aircraft systems, including avionics, communication, navigation, and related components.
• Candidates should possess experience in rotorcraft maintenance, with a focus on avionics installation, testing, and installation.
• Candidates should possess proven troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving avionics and electrical issues.
• Candidates should possess maintenance and repair skills for performing corrective and preventive work on aircraft avionics systems.
• Relevant technical training or certification in avionics or aircraft electronics; FAA Airframe license or equivalent is preferred.
• Familiarity with FAA regulations, safety standards, and quality control procedures in an aviation maintenance environment.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools, test equipment, and computer-based maintenance systems; strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse maintenance and operations teams.
• Previous experience as an Avionics Technician or in aviation maintenance is highly beneficial.
