Elliott Aviation, a leader in aircraft solutions, seeks an Avionics Repair Technician at our Atlanta, GA location. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and supporting avionics and electrical systems on corporate aircraft.

You will work with advanced systems and contribute to on-time, on-budget squawk-free delivery. The position requires hands-on problem solving, strong diagnostic abilities, and adherence to FAA regulations and company standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of avionics troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Strong understanding of FARs 43, 91, 135, and 145.
• Corporate aviation experience preferred.
• Experience supporting avionics installations and modifications preferred.
• Experience with maintenance and AOG support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair advanced avionics and aircraft electrical systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex discrepancies with minimal supervision.

Position Summary

The Avionics Repair Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and supporting the installation of aircraft avionics and electrical systems. This role requires advanced technical expertise, strong diagnostic abilities, and the ability to independently resolve complex aircraft discrepancies while maintaining compliance with FAA regulations and company standards.

A Day in the Life

One day may involve troubleshooting an intermittent autopilot issue on a corporate jet. The next may include supporting a major avionics installation, diagnosing electrical discrepancies, or assisting with an aircraft‑on‑ground event requiring rapid problem solving.

Essential Job Functions

• Troubleshoot and repair advanced avionics systems and aircraft electrical systems
• Diagnose and resolve complex aircraft discrepancies with minimal supervision
• Support avionics installations, upgrades, and modification projects
• Interpret wiring diagrams, installation drawings, and technical documentation
• Function test avionics and aircraft electrical systems
• Ensure all work complies with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company procedures
• Complete maintenance documentation accurately and timely
• Support maintenance and AOG‑related troubleshooting activities as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

• 7+ years of aircraft avionics troubleshooting and repair experience
• Corporate aviation experience preferred
• Experience supporting avionics installations and modifications preferred
• Experience with maintenance and aircraft‑on‑ground (AOG) support preferred
• Strong understanding of FARs 43, 91, 135, and 145

Technical Experience

Autopilots, Flight Management Systems, Navigation and Communication Systems, EFIS, Aircraft Electrical Systems, Lighting, and Pitot/Static Systems.

Preferred Experience

• Corporate jet experience
• Avionics installation experience
• Major avionics retrofit or modification experience
• Bench repair capabilities
