Job summary

NetJets Aviation, Inc. is seeking an Avionics Technical Specialist (NJUS) in Columbus, OH. This role provides aircraft avionics and digital controlled system support to NetJets and its vendors, reporting through the DOM office.

Candidates should have 4–6 years of avionics troubleshooting experience, a high school diploma, strong project management and leadership skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and wiring diagrams. Willingness to work after hours and holidays is required.

Qualifications

  • Four years in avionics and electronic digital systems troubleshooting experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, and strong vendor liaison skills.
  • Ability to analyze wiring diagrams and schematics for maintenance actions.

Responsibilities

  • Provides avionics troubleshooting support to MCC, Flight Operations and vendors.
  • Collaborates with OEM engineering for anomaly resolutions and publications.
  • Maintains technical publications related to avionics and digital control systems.
  • Uses OEM tools such as AReS; Smart Fix Plus for troubleshooting.

Purpose of Position

The Avionics Technical Specialist is responsible for providing aircraft avionics and/or digital controlled system(s) technical support to the NetJets organization and its vendors. The Avionics Technical Specialist is appointed and empowered by the aircraft certificate holders' Director of Maintenance (DOM) to conduct designated functions of the DOM office.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Provides the Maintenance Control Center (MCC), Flight Operations and vendors with aircraft avionics and digital controlled system(s) troubleshooting support. Works with Original Equipment Manufacturer(s) (OEM) engineering for anomaly resolutions.
  • Works harmoniously with NetJets departments including Line Planning, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Return to Service, Aircraft Programs and Flight Operations regarding aircraft avionics and/or digital controlled system(s) anomalies.
  • Is responsible for maintaining and providing all necessary technical publications related to NetJets aircraft avionics and/or digital controlled system.
  • Utilize OEM trouble shooting programs such as AReS; Smart Fix Plus

Two years avionics experience directly related to aircraft currently being operated in the NetJets fleet.

FAA Airframe & Powerplant is preferred but not required.

Military experience preferred but not required.
