NetJets is seeking a software engineer to design, build, and operate scalable software and data solutions in Columbus, OH. You will own critical components, contribute to architecture, and drive innovation across airline operations and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• 4-6 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting microservices, distributed systems, and API-based architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud-native services, containerization technologies such as Docker, and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Experience operating and supporting production environments, including managed services like OpenSearch, ElastiCache/Redis, and MSK/Kafka.
• Strong understanding of authentication, observability, monitoring, and operational excellence practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, maintain, and support software applications, services, and systems.
• Ensure application resiliency, stability, security, and data protection by implementing robust engineering practices.
• Provide technical leadership for engineering teams and contribute to the design, development, and documentation of the product.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, maintain, and support software applications, services, and systems, ensuring they deliver business value and are fully prepared for operational use.
• Ensure application resiliency, stability, security, and data protection by implementing robust engineering practices, proactive monitoring, and adherence to organizational and industry standards.
• Provide technical leadership for engineering teams and contribute to the definition, design, development, integration, test and documentation of the product and its features in alignment with established technology and architectural standards.

Experience designing, developing, and supportingmicroservices, distributed systems, and API-based architectures.

Strong experience implementing and managingInfrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or similar technologies.

Proven experience building and maintainingCI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and GitOps-based delivery practices.

Knowledge ofDevSecOps principles, including secure software development practices, vulnerability management, security compliance, software supply chain security, and application/platform security.

Experience operating and supporting production environments, including managed services such asAmazon OpenSearch, ElastiCache/Redis, and MSK/Kafka.

Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, observability, monitoring, and operational excellence practices.

Experience participating in on-call rotations and supporting production systems in a high-availability environment.

Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies and modern engineering best practices.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
