Job summary

Intuitive Machines in Houston is seeking an experienced Avionics Engineer to join the Systems Integrator team, focusing on system-level design, development, integration, and testing of avionics for lunar landers and related space technologies.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in avionics, with expertise in power systems, flight harnesses, and electrical engineering principles, and will work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering is required or equivalent.
4+ years in avionics or space systems integration.
Experience with flight harness design and system-level integration.

Responsibilities

Design and develop avionics systems including flight computers and power distribution units.
Develop flight harness schematics, wiring diagrams and documentation.
Collaborate with systems engineering, mechanical, and software to define requirements.
Integrate avionics with other spacecraft subsystems and perform system testing.
Analyze test data and optimize designs for weight, thermal, and radiation tolerance.
Support test plans including environmental testing (thermal, vibration, radiation).
Prepare technical reports and communicate progress to stakeholders.
