Job summary

RTX is seeking a Systems Engineering Intern in Avionics Display Systems at our Bothell, WA location. Hybrid work arrangement with opportunities to collaborate across systems, software, and hardware engineers on display solutions for flight decks of large commercial aircraft.

You'll learn lifecycle phases, ARINC standards, and develop and test avionics displays while contributing to real programs. Ideal candidates are pursuing a STEM degree with at least 60 credits and some programming experience.

Do you have jumbo dreams of maximizing your career while developing display systems for the flight decks of large commercial airplanes? Come join our team as a Systems Engineering Intern in the Avionics Air Transport Displays department. Working with other systems and software engineers, you will have the opportunity to develop flight deck display systems used on commercial jet airplanes.

• Work with other systems, software, and hardware engineers to create avionics display solutions that are high quality, reliable and safe
• Develop and execute system-level operational tests for Avionics Display Systems
• Develop software tools to support display system integration, verification and validation

What You Will Learn

• Implementation of multiple phases of the system development lifecycle including requirements capture, system design and modeling, integration, system verification and validation
• Application of industry standards and processes, such as ARINC 661, ARINC 664, and ARP-4754

Qualifications You Must Have

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) discipline
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with at least one programming or scripting language

The salary range for this role is 42,000 USD - 88,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
