Job summary

Astronautics in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Systems Engineering Intern who will work closely with our engineering staff on customer projects. This paid undergraduate internship runs at least 10 weeks and includes hands-on experience in system definition, verification, and integration on avionics hardware.

You will gain exposure to the product development lifecycle, lifecycle artifacts, and preparation for certification with FAA and foreign authorities, under supervision of senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student, junior or senior pursuing engineering or computer science degree.
• Minimum GPA 2.75.
• Onsite full-time availability for summer 2027.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in requirements specification and design for system development.
• Perform verification activities including test definitions and lifecycle artifact reviews.
• Integrate and debug code on avionics hardware.
• Support lifecycle documentation for avionic systems to aid in certification.
