SpaceX is seeking an Avionics Systems Engineer (Starship) to own cradle-to-grave avionics for Starship, spanning design, build, test, launch and relaunch cycles. You’ll bridge analysis, production, and operations with cross-functional teams.
You will troubleshoot electrical hardware on a tight production schedule, develop new avionics architectures, and support real-time flight operations with a focus on reliability and performance.
SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.
As a Starship Avionics Systems & Operations Engineer, you will have the unique opportunity to be part of a cross-functional team that bridges the gap between vehicle analysis, design, production and vehicle operations.
The Starship Avionics Team is responsible for cradle to grave ownership of Starship vehicle avionics as the vehicle is built, tested, launched, recovered and re-launched. This includes development of new capabilities, electrical design of vehicle architecture, repair of electrical components, and troubleshooting of avionics subsystems including power distribution, vehicle network, onboard sensors, actuators, compute, RF, and video.
