Job summary

You will guide cross-disciplinary teams, shape requirements, and drive verification and certification efforts to deliver mission-critical solutions for national security.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with software, hardware, and mechanical groups, and align technical work with program objectives, risk, and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or graduate degree with 10+ years.
• Experience leading systems engineering across avionics, electronics, or mission systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering execution for complex avionics and electronic subsystems.
• Direct cross-functional teams through concept, requirements, design, integration and verification.
• Translate customer needs into complete system solutions balancing tech, cost, schedule and risk.
• Define, allocate and manage system/hardware/software requirements with traceability.
• Lead planning, trade studies, risk management and decision-making.
• Oversee integration, testing, verification planning and reviews.
• Provide technical leadership in customer engagements, proposals and program execution.
• Ensure coordination across disciplines to achieve objectives.
• Mentor engineers and strengthen systems engineering capability.
• Travel up to 10% for meetings and reviews; support security requirements.
