Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle seeks an Avionics Systems Engineer III to define system requirements, interfaces, and contribute to program execution. You will manage verification, risk, and agile task boards, ensuring hardware flow keeps pace with production and testing.

Ideal candidates have a strong systems engineering background, experience with ICDs/IRDs, and proficiency with Jama or IBM DOORS, plus willingness to travel up to 10% to rocket engine test sites and facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 2+ years of experience in systems engineering or hardware development.
• Experience with Jama or IBM DOORS for requirements management.
• Experience defining interfaces via ICDs/IRDs.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage system requirements and interfaces.
• Lead verification activities and risk management throughout the program.
• Maintain agile task boards and lines of balance for scheduling.
• Coordinate build flow with Operations and Supply Chain.
• Coordinate procurement activities and supplier management.
• Track Technical Performance Measures and drive corrective actions.
• Own scope management and cost control for avionics hardware.
