Job summary

West Star Aviation seeks an Avionics Repair Technician at our East Alton, IL facility. This full-time, on-site role involves performing general avionics work, troubleshooting systems, inspecting aircraft components, and verifying system performance.

You will work with a team in a hangar environment, following FAA guidelines and safety rules. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent; electronics/avionics training is preferred, with a valid driver’s license or passport ideal.

Qualifications

• A High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electronics or Avionics factory training is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
• Must communicate effectively in English (spoken, read and written).

Responsibilities

• Perform general avionics support items on aircraft, including removal and installation of panels and components and repair work.
• Troubleshooting and evaluation of systems on the aircraft when designated.
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated.
• Aircraft movement and performance verification of systems.
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling to support operations.
