Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or higher with extensive related experience.
• Experience with avionics packaging and rugged environments.

Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional teams to develop new avionics solutions.
• Guide analyses for mechanical, electro-mechanical, and opto-mechanical systems (thermal, fluid, structural, power).
• Create complex mechanical designs and layouts for multiple products.
• Lead mechanical design, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and validate design control documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors to source parts.
• Design for manufacturability of machined, stamped, and sheet metal parts.
• Ensure packaging of electronics for avionics platforms; support thermal and vibration testing.
• Support compliance with military environment requirements.
