Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking an Avionics Material Planner to own end-to-end material planning for Terran R avionics hardware, from EEE components and bare boards to box-level integration, supporting development through flight production and rate.

You’ll collaborate with Avionics Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Launch teams to derive material demand from multi-level BOMs, manage long-lead items, and optimize Kitting and ERP/MRP processes in Plex or other systems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in material planning, demand planning, or production planning.
• Direct experience planning avionics or high-reliability electronics hardware in aerospace, defense, or space.
• Experience supporting products from NPI or development into production with BOM changes.
• Working knowledge of electronics supply chain dynamics: lead times, obsolescence, MOQs, and kitting.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end material planning for avionics assemblies, from EEE components to box-level integration hardware.
• Collaborate with Avionics Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Integration, Test, and Launch teams to derive material demand from multi-level BOMs and build schedules.
• Identify long-lead items and risk buys, recommend buffer strategies and early material authorizations.
• Assess the material impact of ECOs/ECNs, including obsolescence and rework decisions across builds.
• Manage material flow to contract manufacturers and suppliers, including Kitting and shortage tracking under tight deadlines.
• Develop avionics material forecasts and planning processes that inform Sourcing strategy and ERP/MRP improvements.
