Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is seeking an Avionics Material Planner to own end-to-end material planning for Terran R avionics hardware, from EEE components to box-level integration, enabling production pace with evolving designs.

You will partner with Avionics Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Launch teams to derive material demand, manage long-lead items, and guide risk buys and ECO impact assessments while improving ERP-driven MRP processes and readiness for rate builds.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of material planning, demand planning, or production planning.
• Direct experience planning avionics or high-reliability electronics hardware in aerospace, defense, or space.
• Experience supporting products from NPI or development into production with BOM changes.
• Knowledge of electronics supply chain dynamics and component lead times.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end material planning for avionics assemblies from components to box-level integration.
• Collaborate with Avionics Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Integration, Test, and Launch teams to derive material demand.
• Identify long-lead items and recommend risk buys, buffer strategies, and design-change impacts.
• Assess ECO/ECN impacts and obsolescence across builds and revisions.
• Manage material flow to contract manufacturers and suppliers, ensuring readiness under deadlines.
• Develop avionics material forecasts and improve MRP automation within the ERP platform.
