Job summary

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
  • 2+ years of design/manufacturing experience in mechanical or electrical hardware
  • 2+ years of experience with electronic box build, battery build, or cable harness builds

Responsibilities

  • Identify and remove production blockers from design release through delivery.
  • Optimize and automate manufacturing and test processes to improve quality and throughput.
  • Lead introduction of new products and revisions including manufacturability and standardization.
  • Investigate non-conformances, implement corrective actions.
  • Plan equipment, machinery, facility layout, and process upgrades with cross-functional partners.

  • Join a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing team where you'll help scale in-house avionics production to support an ambitious launch schedule and evolving product roadmap. You'll play a hands-on role in improving manufacturing processes, resolving production challenges, and helping establish scalable systems that enable high-quality, efficient production.
  • What You'll Do:
    • Support avionics production from design release through delivery by identifying and removing production blockers.
    • Optimize and automate manufacturing and test processes to improve quality, efficiency, and throughput.
    • Lead the introduction of new products and product revisions, including manufacturability and design standardization efforts.
    • Investigate production non-conformances, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
    • Plan and execute equipment, machinery, facility layout, and process upgrades while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.

Job Requirements
  • What You'll Bring:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
    • 2+ years of experience in design, manufacturing, and production of mechanical or electrical hardware (including internships and collegiate extracurricular projects)
    • 2+ years of experience with electronic box build, battery build or cable harness builds)
  • What Sets You Apart:
    • Master's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
    • 5+ years of experience in design, manufacturing, and production of mechanical or electrical hardware (including internships and collegiate extracurricular projects)
    • 5+ years of experience with electronic box build, battery build or cable harness builds
    • Experience standing up high-volume production processes and tracking systems.
    • Experience developing manufacturing processes for new types of products (i.e. - Battery Manufacturing)
    • New equipment procurement and process setup (i.e. - Laser Wire Stripper)
    • Experience modeling with 3D CAD software
    • Familiarity with IPC standards (i.e. IPC-A-620)
    • Experience creating work instructions and standards for operators
    • Working knowledge of typical manufacturing execution systems and quality management systems.
    • Self-motivated to implement goals and solve complex problems with little supervision
    • Hands-on approach with a focus on continuous improvement through creative problem solving
    • Effective communication in both technical and non-technical conversations.
