Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Avionics Manager to lead the effort for supporting and maintaining the aircraft fleet across CONUS/OCONUS locations. Primary focus will be on avionics subsystems, and associated support equipment. You will oversee maintenance, and coordinate with maintenance personnel and FAA repair stations.

Responsibilities include inspections, launch/recovery, and provisioning of contractor-owned spares and tools, ensuring readiness and regulatory compliance for the fleet.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of aircraft avionics maintenance experience.
• 10+ years on King Air/1900 series aircraft.
• Managing complex aircraft avionics modifications.
• 5+ years experience with electronic flight instrument systems and troubleshooting.
• FCC General Radio Telephone Operator License required.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage avionics maintenance across multiple CONUS/OCONUS locations.
• Oversee maintenance material control, system software, and special tools/equipment.
• Direct and coordinate scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance and personnel.
• Oversee major/minor inspections and launch/recovery operations.
• Manage spares, contractor-owned parts (COMP), and FAA repair-station support.

Description

As the Avionics Manager, you will lead the effort for supporting and maintaining the aircraft fleet at 18 CONUS/OCONUS locations. Primary focus will be on avionics subsystems, and associated support equipment. CLS Avionics Manager responsibilities include oversight of all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance and direction of maintenance personnel. Additionally the Avionics Manager will support maintenance material control, such as system software, and special tools/equipment. Ancillary responsibilities will include oversight of major and minor inspections, launch and recovery of the aircraft, supply of all Contractor owned spares and support equipment through a Contractor Owned and Maintained Parts (COMP); repair and overhaul of all repairable spares at Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified repair stations; maintenance and repair of all support equipment.

Qualifications

• 15 years or more of aircraft avionics maintenance experience
• 10 years or more on King Air/1900 Airliner series aircraft
• Managing complex aircraft avionics modifications
• 5 years or more experience with electronic flight instrument systems to include advanced troubleshooting
• Possess a current Federal Communications Commission (FCC) General Radio Telephone Operator License
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Security Clearance

Compensation Details:

80K - 90K
