Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Avionics Maintenance Technician in Wheeling, IL. This full-time, on-site role involves troubleshooting and repairing avionics units to the component level, along with general aircraft support tasks and collaboration with customers on projects.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with electronics or avionics training preferred, and a valid driver’s license or passport is a plus. FAA guidelines and safety rules apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; electronics or avionics training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license for airline travel and/or passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair avionics units (Navs, Coms, Pulse, Radar, Audio and Autopilot) to component level.
• Perform general avionics support items on aircraft including removal/installation of panels and components.
• Troubleshoot, evaluate and verify aircraft systems and components.
• Coordinate with customers in project management, pricing and support roles.
• Communicate effectively in English and work independently on projects.
• Follow FAA guidelines and safety rules; maintain customer-oriented work habits.
