Job summary

Vista Aircraft Maintenance seeks an Avionics Lead to provide technical leadership for Avionics Technicians in Western Wisconsin, supporting a Part 145 Repair Station. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance with 14 CFR Part 145, maintenance data, and company manuals.

Ideal candidates will have strong leadership, aircraft electrical expertise, and experience with complex modifications, inspections, and audits. In-house maintenance supports a diverse Vista Members’ fleet.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years avionics or aircraft electrical experience or military equivalent.
• 3+ years in a Part 145 environment, Part 135 environment.
• Experience with corporate aircraft (Gulfstream, Cessna, Bombardier preferred).
• Prior MRT/field service/lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to Avionics Technicians; perform and coordinate avionics maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation.
• Support complex modifications, inspections, and upgrades.
• Assist with work planning and job execution.
• Ensure compliance with approved data and Company manuals.
• Support audits, inspections, and quality reviews.
• Promote adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.
• Interface with Quality, Engineering, and OEM technical support.
• Ensure work complies with Repair Station Manual and Quality Control Manual.
• Perform troubleshooting, repair, and installation of avionics and electrical systems.
• Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
• Perform functional checks and operational tests.
• Perform avionics modifications and installations using approved data.
• Complete maintenance records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Support inspections and system checks as assigned.
• Support MRT, AOG, or field service operations when required.
• Follow procedures in the Repair Station Manual and Quality Control Manual.
• Maintain compliance with Parts 43, 65, 135, and 145 as applicable.
