Job summary

Odyssey is seeking experienced Avionics Integration Engineers at Wright Patterson AFB, OH to support AFLCMC/WI ISR and SOF programs. The role covers design, development, testing, and deployment of airborne weapon systems with embedded computers, software, and maintenance solutions.

Candidates require DoD experience and security clearances. Role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across structures, manufacturing, and system safety to ensure compliant and reliable avionics

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field with 3 years of DoD experience, or 7 years of related experience with 5 in the DoD.
• Senior (level 3): Master’s or Doctorate in a related field with 10 years related experience, 5 in the DoD; or Bachelor’s with 12 years, 5 in the DoD; or 15 years with 8 in the DoD.
• Principal (level 4): Master’s or Doctorate with 20 years related exp, 12 in DoD; or Bachelor’s with 25 years, 15 in DoD; or 30 years related exp, 20 in DoD.
• Citizenship: US Citizen; Clearance: Secret
• Preferred: Top Secret clearance; Experience with rotary wing avionics systems integration; FCA/PCA audits and certifications

Responsibilities

• Support anti-tamper compliance and IA assessment.
• Provide guidance and artifacts in systems integration, OSS&E, airworthiness certification, safety, and Life Cycle Systems Engineering.
• Serve as a specialist in rotary wing avionics systems integration focusing on tactical data links, position location, display, interphone, and identification tech.
• Coordinate with structures, crew systems, manufacturing, and system safety teams.
• Assist with IA controls, test strategies, and risk mitigation; support accreditation for operating authority.
• Support FCA/PCA audits, aircraft/simulator certifications, and environmental/hazardous material management.
