Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 2 years of accredited aviation electronics schooling or a related certificate with 1 year of experience required.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • Strong written and verbal skills required.
  • Computer skills and general software knowledge necessary.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in installations, modifications, and fabrication of wiring and electrical components per blueprints and drawings.
  • Maintains required logs and records.
  • Completes tasks within allotted time frames.
  • Ensures work meets regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Checks all work for defective free assemblies prior to final inspection.
  • Complies with FOD, tool control, 5-S programs and safety regulations.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities.

Job description

Compensation: $30.17/hr ST, $45.26/hr OT

Job Description:

Under minimal supervision, assists in the removal/installation of avionics electrical components, fabrication of wire harnesses, installations, terminations, ring-out, and functional tests of avionics/electrical systems.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions:
  1. Assists in installations, modifications, and the fabrication of wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment in accordance with blueprints, worksheets, engineering drawings.
  2. Maintains required logs and records.
  3. Completes tasks within allotted time frame.
  4. Ensures that work accomplished meets applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  5. Checks all work and ensures a defective free assembly prior to final inspection.
  6. Complies with the company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program and all safety regulations.
  7. Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
Additional Functions:
  1. Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools as assigned by Supervisor.
  2. Participates in continuous improvement activities (e.g YIAW, Kaizen events, etc.)

Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics or two (2) years related work experience required or, an avionics certificate from an accredited school and (1) year of related work experience.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • Strong written and verbal skills required.
