Job summary

Trimec Aviation Inc is seeking an Avionics Installation Technician to perform installation, modification, and upgrade work on avionics systems in business jet aircraft. You will work with a small, skilled team to deliver high-quality wiring, integration, and system installation in accordance with OEM data, FAA regulations, and engineering data.

The role requires reading wiring diagrams, performing checks, and coordinating with the Install Lead to ensure on-time delivery while maintaining safety

Qualifications

• 2–5 years avionics installation experience in Part 145, OEM, or similar setting.
• Experience with business jet aircraft.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, installation drawings, and STC data packages.

Responsibilities

• Perform removal and installation of avionics components, wiring harnesses, antennas, and related equipment.
• Fabricate, route, and terminate wiring per engineering drawings, STCs, and OEM documentation.
• Install and secure connectors, backshells, and related hardware with attention to workmanship and quality standards.
• Conduct continuity, insulation, and operational checks to verify proper system function.
• Support integration of avionics systems such as GPS, COM/NAV radios, FMS, transponders, ADS-B, autopilot, and cabin Wi‑Fi.
• Document work performed on task cards and work orders accurately.
• Maintain compliance with FAA Part 145, Part 43, and the Repair Station procedures.
• Assist with troubleshooting installation issues and coordinating solutions with the Install Lead and Avionics Manager.
• Follow all safety policies, maintain organized work areas, and ensure proper care of tools and equipment.
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain technical proficiency, regulatory compliance, and stay current with evolving avionics technologies and installation practices.
• Assist other departments as workload permits.
