Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Avionics Install Technician in Chattanooga, TN. This full-time, on-site role involves installing, repairing, and testing complex avionics systems on civilian aircraft, while supporting hangar operations and team collaboration.

Tech I level candidates with 0–2 years in avionics or related electrical fields are considered, with progression to Tech II/III and Master Technician as experience grows. Benefits start at hire, including medical and retirement options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; electronics/avionics training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license for airline travel is ideal, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Removal and installation of panels, components and interiors, as well as repair work on avionics installations.
• Stamp, bundle and install connectors on wiring.
• Removal of old wiring and installation of new wire bundles in aircraft.
• Troubleshooting and evaluation of avionics systems on the aircraft when designated.
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated.
• Aircraft movement and assistance in hangar stack when required.
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling.
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases.
• Work within a team process; communicate effectively in English.
