Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking an Avionics Systems Test Engineer II, Test Platforms to design and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop testbeds for avionics subsystems on the Terran R program. You will work with avionics and flight software teams to understand testing needs and develop robust HITL environments.

Responsibilities include validating HITL platforms, driving verification plans, and supporting vehicle software releases while collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years of experience in complex system design and testing.
• Experience with HITL or avionics systems is a plus.
• Proficiency with Python or MATLAB for data analysis.
• Familiarity with Ethernet, CAN, UART, SPI.

Responsibilities

• Design and build a HITL testbed to conduct vehicle mission simulations.
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to derive platform requirements.
• Oversee integration of avionics electrical systems, simulation hardware and software.
• Develop, document, and execute avionics verification/validation plans.
• Drive data reviews for verification/validation testing on HITL platforms.
• Support vehicle software releases and Run-for-Record on HITL platforms.
