BLUE ORIGIN seeks a technician to support engineering and manufacturing of spaceflight systems in Seattle. The role involves assembling and evaluating electromechanical systems while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Ideal candidates have 3+ years in Aerospace Avionics, familiarity with wire harness assembly, and a strong attention to detail. The position offers a competitive salary range and various employee benefits.
Provides hands‑on support to Engineering/Production/Manufacturing by performing activities such as test, check‑out, modification, fabrication, and assembly of electro/mechanical systems. Applications may include electronic circuits, power distribution, life/vehicle critical safety systems, and battery systems. Work is performed from schematics, diagrams, written descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting functions. Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Performs work in both laboratory setting as well as on manufacturing floor or on vehicle depending on manufacturing needs.
This role is part of the Engines, In‑Space Systems and Test Ops group and is in Kent but supports all Business Units and groups across all Blue Origin facilities.
As part of a hardworking team of technicians, you will assemble, repair, and evaluate electrical and mechanical assemblies for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of the production, evaluation, and development of Flight‑grade Avionics. Work in the Avionics Hardware Lab requires a high level of technical proficiency in soldering, component‑level board work, mechanical assembly, and assembly wiring.
