Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an avionics assembler to join the Engines Avionics and Control Products Team. You will assemble prototype and flight avionics, solder PCBs, and develop lab circuits to support iterative design.

The role requires 2+ years in high-precision electronics, ESD control, reading schematics, and lifting 25 lbs. It is a full-time on-site position in Washington state with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with ESD prevention and controls.
• Understanding of basic electronics theory – voltage, resistance, current.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• 2+ years in avionics or similar high-precision assembly.
• Proficient with basic lab test equipment (power supplies, multimeters).
• Ability to use mechanical tools and fabrication shop equipment.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and handle physical tasks.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Strong written and verbal communication; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assembling prototype and flight avionics assemblies.
• Soldering PCBAs and SMT components, including repairs and rework.
• Develop lab circuits to aid design debugging.
• Building wire harnesses and cables for lab use.
• Providing feedback to improve assemblies and designs.
• Processing non-conformances and related docs.
• Testing and qualifying avionics.
