Job summary

Blue Origin Engines is seeking an avionics assembler to join the Avionics and Control Products Team in Seattle. The role focuses on assembling prototype and flight-grade avionics assemblies, soldering PCBAs, developing lab circuits, and building wire harnesses to support development and testing activities.

Applicants should have 2+ years in high-precision electronic assembly, familiarity with test equipment, and strong attention to detail. Must be able to lift 25 lbs and work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with ESD prevention and controls.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and written assembly procedures.
• 2+ years of experience in assembly of avionics, automotive electronics, electronic medical devices, or other similar high precision assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Assembling prototype and flight-grade avionics assemblies.
• Soldering PCBAs and SMT work down to 0201 components.
• Develop lab circuits to aid development and debugging of electronic designs.
• Build wire harness/cable assemblies for lab use.
• Provide feedback on new assemblies and update designs as needed.
• Process non-conformances and related documentation.
• Testing and qualifying avionics.
