Job summary

Boeing Global Services is seeking a senior leader to head the C-17 Development Project Engineering team in the United States. The role oversees ~18–20 project engineers, budgeting, schedules, and performance across avionics and flight controls HW/SW development projects.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in project management/technical integration, experience with avionics, and a BS in engineering or related fields.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
10+ years of experience in Project Management and/or technical integration.
Experience developing project execution plans, schedules and budgets.
Experience with Avionics equipment.

Responsibilities

Responsible for project execution and the integration of disciplines necessary to develop and deliver avionics and flight controls capabilities.
Responsible for cost and schedule performance of projects.
Maintaining, training and evolving the development team project engineering processes and the project engineering manual.
Manage, develop, listen, advocate for, and motivate a diverse team of employees.
Provide technical direction, oversight, and guidance regarding approved processes, plans, tools, technology and skills.
Run the business with a strong budget and staffing forecas ts including goals.
Establish, track and manage metrics for cost, schedule, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Communicate with team, senior leadership, and stakeholders on status, progress and directives.
Lead process documentation and process improvement projects to achieve business goals.
