Job summary

SES is looking for an Engineer, Fleet Support to enhance the Aircraft Fleet Support team in Chicago. This role involves developing diagnostic tools for in-cabin systems, troubleshooting both remote and on-site issues related to Intelsat airborne systems.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in fleet support and must possess FAA certifications. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in an aircraft fleet support or engineering role, ideally within the Avionics industry.
• Strong skills in reading electrical schematics.
• Knowledge with aircraft wiring (power, data bus, discrete I/O, Quadrax).

Responsibilities

• Support systemic aircraft issues related to the Intelsat airborne system.
• Proactively identify defects by reviewing system data logs.
• Create, review, and modify maintenance manuals and service bulletins.
