Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies Corp. in San Francisco is seeking an Avionics Intern for Fall 2026. The program runs twelve weeks and offers an hourly role to students currently enrolled at a four-year university.

You will work with the avionics team to build and test flight hardware, design test equipment, and automate testing. Current students pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in electrical or computer engineering are invited, with experience in Python and/or C++.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in electrical or computer engineering.
  • Interest in spacecraft systems and subsystems.
  • Passion for hardware development with hands-on design.
  • Experience with Python and/or C++.
  • Ability to design, build, and test hardware from scratch.
  • US Citizenship, Green Card, or protected status.

Responsibilities

  • Work with avionics team to build and test flight hardware.
  • Design test equipment to validate designs under stressed conditions.
  • Bring up and debug designs in the lab.
  • Write code to evaluate performance and automate testing.
  • Assist with low‑level software to interface with spacecraft subsystems.
