Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2 years related avionics experience or two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics.
• Must be able to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
• Demonstrates basic technical skills in avionics and aircraft systems testing and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates basic technical skills in avionics and aircraft systems testing and troubleshooting.
• Under supervision, installs and tests electrical/avionics components and systems per specs, drawings, and manuals to ensure a defect-free system.
• Assists in ensuring quality and efficiency of installations and provides timely repairs of malfunctioning systems.
• Repairs or replaces defective components and wiring, applying standard techniques such as splicing, soldering and pinning.
• Performs engineering changes and modifications as required.
• Sets up and operates test equipment; conducts functional and operational tests to evaluate performance.
• Documents all work performed on the aircraft and prepares for inspection.
• Tests and maintains test equipment and electronic systems.
• Complies with FOD, tool control, 5-S and safety regulations.
