Job summary

Gulfstream Savannah Completions seeks an Avionics/Electrical Technician III for the G500, G700 and G800 programs. The role focuses on testing, troubleshooting and repairing complex avionics and electrical systems, contributing to defect-free aircraft and on-time schedules.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, plus 5 years in avionics/electrical fields; A&P, FCC or NCATT licenses are preferred. Weekend shifts are required with potential for additional business needs.

• Ensures quality and efficiency of all installations and repairs; troubleshoots to provide timely fixes.
• Repairs or replaces defective components and wiring to ensure reliable installations.

Unique Skills

• Live aircraft troubleshooting and maintenance experience preferred.
• Gulfstream large cabin experience preferred.
• Position will be in Savannah Completions working primarily on G500, G700, G800.
• Weekend shift / weekend night shift position. Must be willing to work other shifts as required by business needs.

Education and Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required. 5 years experience in an avionics/electrical career field. 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics may offset two years of experience requirement. A & P license, FCC license or NCATT certification preferred.

Position Purpose: Provides technical expertise while performing various operational, functional tests and repairs of avionics/electronic, aircraft equipment and systems to ensure a defect free aircraft. Provides superior technical expertise in testing, troubleshooting and repairing system discrepancies to ensure minimum schedule impact. Demonstrates technical expertise by defining and implementing process changes to reduce cost and meet schedule without compromising Safety or Quality.

1. Demonstrates superior technical skills and expertise in avionics and aircraft systems operational testing and troubleshooting.
2. Teaches the installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components and systems per Engineering specifications, drawings and maintenance manuals ensuring a defect free system.
3. Ensures quality and efficiency of all installations; troubleshoots and teaches troubleshooting processes/concepts to provide timely, quality repairs of malfunctioning systems.
4. Demonstrates the skills and knowledge required to effectively and efficiently repair or replace defective components and wiring to ensure installations
