Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Littleton, CO is seeking a Circuit Design Engineer to develop avionics hardware for space missions. You will create digital and analog schematics, perform analyses, and validate designs for flight-readiness in a rigorous development environment.

You will apply tools like Cadence PSpice, Saber, Zuken, and Siemens Xpedition for schematic capture and PCB layout, while collaborating across PCB, GNC, FPGA, and test equipment teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with design/analysis of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA).

Responsibilities

• Create and validate digital/analog schematics.
• Perform worst‑case, parts‑stress, and FMEA analyses.
• Run simulations (Cadence PSpice, Saber).
• Use Zuken or Siemens Xpedition for schematic capture and EPCAD/Siemens for PCB layout.
• Build prototype units and define checkout and test procedures.
• Produce design assurance packages for senior review and audits.
• Conduct trade-studies of alternative architectures.
• Manage BOM and drive cost-effective part selection.
• Verify designs meet environmental space standards.
• Provide status updates and support customer briefings.
