Job summary

Jobtailor in United States (Arizona) is seeking an electrical engineer to design analog instrumentation measurement circuits for environmental and combustion conditions, and to design actuator circuits for solenoids and servos. The role requires interpreting system and quality requirements and leading hardware development from concept through production.

You will mentor junior engineers, support FMECA and DFx activities, and manage avionics design schedules in a collaborative lab environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of professional experience in electronics hardware development.
• Hands-on experience with analog and digital circuit design, analysis, test, and debugging.
• Expert knowledge of Op-Amp circuits for instrumentation measurements, including scaling, active filters, and current-to-voltage conversion.
• Knowledge of signal integrity, power conversion, grounding, and board layout principles.
• Experience with fault tree and fishbone methodologies for root-cause analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Electrical design of analog instrumentation measurement circuits for environmental and combustion conditions.
• Electrical design of actuator circuits for solenoids and electromechanical servos.
• Interpret systems engineering and quality requirements for electrical product development.
• Develop circuits, boards, and rugged electronic hardware across the product lifecycle from concept to production release.
• Support FMECA, DFx, and root-cause analyses of test discrepancies.
• Manage design schedules of avionics subsystems and present program status.
