Job summary

GMRE is seeking an Avionics Aircraft Technician for a day shift in Colorado. The role involves maintenance of avionics systems, including radar, data processing, navigation, and display, with potential per-diem eligibility per GSA standards.

Must read schematics, interpret maintenance procedures, and recommend improvements to equipment performance. Qualified candidates have 6+ years in aircraft maintenance support on F-16s, wiring experience, and the ability to obtain an active SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• Six years total experience with two years recent in avionics maintenance on F-16.
• Experience wiring aircraft and installing avionics systems (routing, termination, Ethernet, copper, power, coax, shielded twisted pairs).
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. SECRET clearance; valid driver’s license.
• Normal color vision and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• The Avionics Aircraft Technician will perform maintenance and must possess knowledge of the electronic principles involved in a number of applications such as radar, data processing, navigation and data display.

Education And Experience

• Minimum of six (6) years total and two (2) years recent (within 4 years of task order PoP start) experience in aircraft maintenance support on F-16 aircraft as an avionics technician in order to accomplish required follow-on operations.
• Must have experience working with aircraft wiring, technicians will be installing Avionics system modifications by routing, terminating 10/100 and Gig Ethernet wiring, copper wires, primary power wires, Coaxial wires , shielded twisted pairs/triplets, and possibly triaxial wires/connectors.

Security Clearance Requirements

• Must have ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. SECRET clearance and be subject to a government security investigation.
• Driving or renting a car for company business is expected with some frequency. For insurance purposes, a valid driver\'s license is required.

Physical Requirements

• Normal color vision as defined by GMRE, with a passing score of 75% or greater.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Travel Required

• Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position for meetings, trainings, and/or site visits.

Salary Description

$39.50 - $42.50
