Job summary

Cherry Creek School District seeks an AVID tutor to develop the academic and personal strength of AVID students using AVID strategies (WICR: writing, inquiry, collaboration, and reading).

You will provide academic support in rigorous courses, facilitate tutorials, and actively participate in collaborative groups while mentoring students and adhering to district policies. Strong Math/Science skills and a flexible schedule are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills.
• Positive and professional demeanor.
• Ability to assess and grade student work.
• Ability to compare and compute as needed.
• Flexible availability to support AVID activities.
• All certifications/licenses must be valid if applicable.
• Previous AVID student is preferred.

Responsibilities

SUMMARY:
