Cherry Creek School District is seeking an AVID Tutor to strengthen the academic and personal growth of AVID students using established AVID strategies. You will support students in rigorous courses and facilitate tutorials under the supervision of a principal or designee.

SUPERVISOR:

SUMMARY:

Develop the academic and personal strength of AVID students using AVID strategies (WICR: writing, inquiry, collaboration, and reading).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. 1. Provide academic support for students in rigorous courses.
2. 2. Facilitate the tutorial learning process and implement AVID methodologies.
3. 3. Actively participate in collaborative groups and tutorials.
4. 4. Participate in motivational activities when possible.
5. 5. Become a master of each stage of the AVID tutorial and inquiry learning process.
6. 6. Act as a role model and mentor.
7. 7. Adhere to district/site policies and procedures.
8. 8. Arrive on time and prepared for class.
9. 9. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
