Township High School District 214 Community Education Foundation is seeking an AVID Assistant (WHS) to support student academic achievement in a grant-funded, 10-month assignment. The position offers a Grade 3, Step 1, $25.52 hourly salary and runs August 24, 2026, with contract renewal possible based on grant funding.
The role requires a high school diploma, strong computer skills, ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and the capacity to work in a team with licensed teachers to tutor and supervise

ASSIGNMENT: 10 Month - Temporary & Grant Funded Assignment: August 24, 2026 - Contract may be renewed annually pending grant funding
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: This position involves the performance of a variety of tasks in support of enhancing student academic achievement . This employee is expected to interact with students in an appropriate manner while maintaining discipline. There is considerable contact with staff and students. AVID Assistants monitor and assist students academically under the direction of a certified staff member and perform related tasks.
An employee in this position works with clearly established systems and procedures, must exhibit organizational skills and exercise independent judgment and confidentiality in the performance of duties. The Avid Assistant must exhibit initiative and embrace a collaborative team approach to accomplish the mission of the district.
