Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. is seeking a Wheelchair Attendant to help passengers navigate the airport with dignity, comfort, and safety.

You will assist passengers to and from aircraft seats, push wheelchairs through gates, and handle luggage while maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor.

This role requires strong communication, reliability, and flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in country of employment.
• English communication (reading, writing, speaking).
• Able to access and interpret information on electronic devices (IPads/Tablets, Computers).
• Able to communicate with colleagues and customers effectively.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Eligible for required credentials (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, as applicable).
• Willing to work various shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist passengers requiring mobility support in transfers to/from aircraft seats using appropriate devices.
• Push wheelchair passengers to and from airport gates.
• Assist with handling checked, carry-on, and claimed luggage.
• Guide passengers in wheelchairs through jet bridges.
• Ensure wheel brakes are set before passengers exit the wheelchair.
• Complete reports regarding wheelchairs or incidents.
• Adhere to dispatcher gate orders and provide prompt assistance.
• Be reliable and punctual, demonstrating PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
