Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced Engineer– Aviation Weather Systems to support modernization efforts under the FAA BNATCS contract. The role serves as the primary coordinator for engineering execution, field activities, and technical documentation.

The engineer will oversee NAS integration for weather systems (AWOS, VWOS, WCAM), manage schedules, risks, and decisions, and coordinate with FAA stakeholders and partners. Onsite in Washington, DC.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain public trust clearance.
• Experience managing complex technical projects in engineering or avionics modernization.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams across orgs.
• Experience managing schedules, risks, action items, and deliverables.
• Experience developing engineering documentation and acquisition packages.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level systems engineering for aviation weather systems integration.
• Coordinate engineering execution, field activities, and technical documentation.
• Manage data flows and interfaces between weather observation assets and NAS.
• Develop integrated project schedules and risk registers.
• Coordinate with FAA representatives, subcontractors, and installation partners.
