Job summary

Midwest Air Traffic Control Services Inc. seeks a Weather Forecaster for Keesler AFB to deliver surface weather observations, briefings and forecasts to support flight operations and mission planning for local units.

You will operate meteorological equipment, issue watches and advisories, transmit pilot reports, debrief aircrews, and provide routine weather support requests while maintaining climatological records and a strong focus on safety.

Responsibilities

• Produces and disseminates all required surface weather observations to local customers, inputs them into the shared information database, and records them on applicable forms.
• Maintains and files weather data to include all required climatological records.
• Issues weather watches, warnings, and advisories to customers.
• Transmits Pilot Reports (PIREPS) and other weather data to local customers and inputs them into the shared database.
• Produces flight weather briefings and MEFs, and provides mission planning support to local flying units and transient air crews.
